King George V Bowling Club is a friendly Club open to members of all standards and abilities, this policy is evolving to include juniors. A child protection officer is already in place in readiness for this phase of development.

So if you are new to the game, then we have experienced players on hand to offer support and tuition. Please go to the Contact Us page if you would like to make an enquiry about membership or if you would like more information about our Club.

There are opportunities to play in the many local leagues to which the club is affiliated, along with the opportunity to join in with social bowling events and club competitions. More on this in the “New to Bowls” section.

Founded in 1962, the club and our landscaped ground with bowling green and clubhouse, is part of the King George V Recreational Ground in Howlbeck Road, Guisborough, giving us a secluded and tranquil environment for bowling. There is more information in the “Club History” section.

Our changing rooms and improvements to the clubhouse were completed  for the start of the 2014 season. This has further enhanced the facilities available to the members and visitors to the club.

The Club is affiliated to Bowls England and has a long association with many of the local leagues, in which the club members participate.

Being close to the centre of the market town of Guisborough there is easy access to good coffee shops, banks and other general outlets for your convenience. For more information on the town of Guisborough click here..... http://www.guisboroughtowncouncil.co.uk/

As well as Lawn Green Bowling, which is undertaken during the season between April and September, we have our own social club, complete with a fully stocked bar where regular social events take place during the season and out of season including darts, dominoes, pool and at weekends, variety artistes.
